How to shop on TikTok

TikTok isn’t just your go-to app for viral dance challenges and beauty hacks. It’s swiftly transformed into a storefront that seamlessly merges entertainment with shopping. Here are a few ways you can fill your cart while swiping through your favourite videos.

Brand or Creator’s Shop Tabs

Have a go-to brand or favourite TikTok creator? Now you can shop their products directly through their TikTok profiles.

Where to find it: Right on the brand or creator profile. If they have the Shop feature enabled, you’ll see a shopping bag icon. Tap it to see everything they have in store.

How it works: Select a product to see more details, and if it piques your interest, add it to your cart and proceed to check out.

LIVE shopping

LIVE shopping sessions allow you to see products in action and interact with the host in real time, so you can ask all your burning questions before you buy.

Where to find it: On the Home tab, tap the LIVE icon in the top-left corner. Scroll until you find a LIVE shopping session by a brand or a creator you’re interested in. Pro tip: keep an eye out for the pink coupon icon in the top-left corner to claim offers and apply them to your purchases.

How it works: Throughout the session, different products might be highlighted. Like what you see? Tap the shopping bag icon in the lower-left corner to buy.

Shoppable videos

Even if the creator you’re following doesn’t have their own shop, you can still get their exact outfit or that new gadget they’re using through affiliated links.

Where to find it: As you’re scrolling through your For You page, you may notice a small shopping bag icon with View Products right above a video’s caption. This indicates that the creator has linked products shown in the video that can be bought directly.

How it works: Tap on the shopping bag icon, and the featured product – or a list of them if there’s more than one – will appear. You can view more details, select your preferred options and proceed to purchase, all while staying on TikTok.
